JOHNNY DEPP Joins Instagram, Sends Message Of Positivity Amid COVID-19 Pandemic
After years of refraining from social media use, Johnny Depp has finally been swayed and joined Instagram!
On his social media debut, the Pirates of the Caribbean star sent out a message of positivity to his fans all around the world amid the COVID-19 crisis. Moments after he posted his first IG photo, Depp shared an eight-minute video where he talks about mankind's "invisible" enemy. "This is my first experience within the world of social media. I've never done any of this before. I don't think I've really ever felt any particular reason to until now. Now is the time to open up a dialogue, as the threat of this invisible enemy has already caused immeasurable tragedies and enormous damage to people's lives," he said.
Johnny added: "People are ill and without care. People are getting sick and fighting for breath. People are dying at frighteningly high rates. Many are unable to provide for their children and their families as a result of this hideous global pandemic."
He also revealed later in the video that he's released a cover of John Lennon's "Isolation", a collab track with English guitarist Jeff Beck. Listen to it here:
