Here's Why ZAC EFRON Skipped HSM Cast's "We're All In This Together" Singalong
Zac Efron made a lot of longtime High School Musical fans disappointed when he appeared but didn't join his co-stars for the epic reunion performance of the iconic "We're All In This Together". And while our frustration is quite understandable—we all waited years for this!—there's a reasonable excuse for the Wildcats captain's absence.
Ryan Seacrest, who hosted The Disney Family Singalong special, explained that the actor is currently "hunkered down in the middle of nowhere with patchy WiFi" but still did not want to miss out on the reunion. So, instead, Zac was tasked to introduce his former co-stars Ashley Tisdale, Lucas Grabeel, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, Kaycee Stroh and his ex Vanessa Hudgens who were also joined by the newest batch of Wildcats.
"Hi everyone, I hope that you’re safe, and that you’re healthy and you’re doing as well as possible during these unprecedented times," said the actor who played Troy Bolton. "It’s my greatest pleasure to introduce a musical performance by some of my oldest friends, and some new ones. I hope you enjoy—and remember: we are all in this together."
Still, we're not giving up on that complete HSM reunion. One day.
