'Eerie' Director MIKHAIL RED Says Prequel Is In The Works
A prequel to the 2019 horror blockbuster Eerie starring Bea Alonzo and Charo Santos-Concio is in the works, director Mikhail Red has revealed.
Appearing on Cinema '76 Film Society's online fundraiser "Kwentuhan Lang", Mikhail discussed the prequel plans and reveals he tapped cousin Rae Red to return as one of the screenwriters along with Hyro Aguinaldo who worked on Bea's Anderson teamup film with Gerald Anderson, How To Be Yours. No word yet if the original cast will be involved.
The critically-acclaimed film which grossed 201 million at the local box office follows the story of a guidance counselor who's out to solve the mysterious death of a student.
