PHARRELL WILLIAM's "Happy" Is Most Played Song Of The Decade
In the past decade, we have been blessed with some of the most iconic tunes that our generation won't be forgetting anytime soon. And while we could all go on and on about which songs we believe have been the most popular throughout those years, music listening company PPL (Phonographic Performance Ltd) already compiled them for us.
And as it turns out, Pharrell Williams' catchy 2013 single "Happy" is the most played song of the 2010s. The Grammy-winning track was written for the animated movie Despicable Me 2 and has recently resurfaced as a hand-washing song amid the coronavirus outbreak.
Next on the list are Adele's "Rolling In The Deep" at #2; Maroon 5 and Christina Aguilera's collaboration "Moves Like Jagger" at #3; followed by another Pharrell track "Get Lucky" with Daft Punk and Nile Rodgers at #4; and Justin Timberlake's "Can’t Stop The Feeling!" from the movie Trolls at #5.
The list also includes songs from the Black Eyed Peas, Bruno Mars, Carly Rae Jepsen, One Republic, Jason Derulo, Katy Perry, Coldplay, Clean Bandit, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, and more. Check out the complete list here.
