MONG ALCARAZ Confirms CHICOSCI Hit "Paris" Is A Love Song
If you're one of the long-time followers of the band Chicosci, you've rocked out to one of their most popular singles ever, "Paris"!
Founding member Mong Alcaraz shed light on a really important topic that has puzzled their loyal Vampire Social Club for years. Why is the heavy and angsty rock song off their Method Of Breathing album called "Paris" anyway?
While answering questions from followers via Instagram Story, Mong dropped this significant piece of trivia: "Paris" is actually a love song! He further shared that vocalist Miggy Chavez was courting a girl who was in Paris, France back then.
"Yung nililigawan ni @mggykills nung time na yun nasa Paris noong summer na nagsusulat kami. Totoong love song s'ya," he revealed.
Mong also recalled the memorable moment when "Paris" reached the number 1 spot on a radio chart show many years ago. Check out his interesting story below:
Could he be so affected? Confirming Mong's revelation, Miggy also reposted the IG story on his account.
Now a four-piece band, Chicosci has a new performance video for "Paris" recorded at Mong's home studio which he calls Alcatracks. If you haven't seen this one, here it is:
