Ex-Bond Actor Thinks MARGOT ROBBIE Would Make A Good Agent 007
There's been a lot of talk as to who should be Daniel Craig's worthy successor after he retires the legendary James Bond mantle in No Time To Die.
A lot of names have been rumored to take his place – from Tom Hiddleston to Idris Elba – but an ex-Agent 007 thinks it's time for a true changing of the guard in the series and wants a woman to step in the iconic character's shoes.
Former Bond actor George Lazenby, who starred in 1969's On Her Majesty's Secret Service, thinks Birds of Prey actress Margot Robbie would make a solid female spy in the franchise. He told The Sun: "I would rather see a woman on screen than a man, so it might be a good idea having a woman play James Bond… Jane Bond."
He added: "There’s an Australian actress who’s over here that I was just listening to on the television today, Margot Robbie. She would be good. She’s ballsy. She comes across like she’s very confident… if you can pull that off, people will believe you."
The 29-year-old Hollywood bombshell is no longer a stranger to taking on action-packed roles, having starred in a couple of high profile comic book flicks. The real question is: are we ready to see the debut of "Jane Bond" on the big screen?
