The 21-year-old singer is currently on home quarantine due to the coronavirus pandemic but that isn't stopping him from being productive. Apparently, he's taking the opportunity to chill and write new music. "I've been cooking a lot, cleaning my house mostly, and just chilling, watching a lot of movies and writing new songs."

He added: "You know, mostly, my songs, my ideas for the songs happen when I'm at home doing the dishes or something like that. Basically most of the melodies that happen inside my head, when I do the dishes or when I'm cutting onions or playing videos games."

Maximillian kicked off his music career by doing song covers which he posted on his YouTube and Facebook pages. He first burst into the scene professionally via his 2017 debut offering "Higher". Talking about his humble beginnings, he told VJ Samm: "I wasn't really a good singer in the beginning but I love singing. I love making noises and making a lot of rhythm when I was like nine and then my parents saw that and they decided to send me on this recording school where I got a lot more of vocal coaching, music teaching and all that other stuff."

His 2019 release "Beautiful Scars", which draws a lot from his personal stories and experiences, achieved success in Southeast Asia, most notably in the country, entering Spotify Philippines's Viral 50 Chart last January. Sharing the inspiration behind the track, he said: "Well, what inspired the song was mostly like, I had a really difficult childhood. I had parents who were fighting a lot. I had some bad friends and I hung out with the wrong people. I made some bad decisions, really at a very young age."

He added: "The song, it hits me right where it needs to hit everytime I sing it and that's a thing that's important when you do music, you have to feel the emotions every time you sing it.

Maximillian extended his gratitude to the fans who supported the inspirational pop track. "It's unbelievable. Just seeing how much love I'm getting from all these people from around the world especially in the Asian areas, it's insane. Like, the messages I get from all the guys and girls from over there. Every morning when I wake up, I check my phone and I get all these like 'I love you' messages or that I helped someone get through something, it just means everything to me 'cause you know, what I wanna do with the music is to like, put out my personal experiences to help someone who's in a situation I was in like five years ago."

He continued: "When you feel like you have no one to talk to, you feel like you're the only one in the world who feels this way, I wanted to make a song that proves that 'okay, you are not alone.' 'cause we all feel alone sometimes. Just seeing and feeling that people are really connecting to the song, it really means the world to me and I love everyone in the Philippines and in Asia. It's unbelievable. Thank you very much."
