LITTLE MIX Begins A New Era With "Break Up Song"
Little Mix thought about delaying the release of their new track "Break Up Song" amid the whole coronavirus situation. But in the end, they decided to share the lead single off their upcoming sixth album with the whole world.
Although "Break Up Song"—co-written by Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thrilwall, and Perrie Edwards—is 80s-inspired, Jesy Nelson clarified in an interview with Official Charts that it's not "an indication of what the album sounds like," and promised that there are"loads of really sick songs" on the new project.
As for additional updates on the album release, Jesy said: "We’ve just been taking it day by day really. We’ve been recording the album and this whole situation has got worse, so we’ve had to stop for now. The album will have to be pushed back now because nothing is finished, which is a shame, but you’ve got to stay safe. We’ve been in the studio a lot and then recently we were talking about it over Whatsapp and realised we needed to start taking this situation more seriously. We can’t be selfish."
In the meantime, check out "Break Song" below.
