BEN&BEN Sets Facebook Live Concert To Help In COVID-19 Relief Efforts
Ben&Ben is taking a cue from local and international artists as the Filipino band will be livestreaming a concert entitled Puhon: A Ben&Ben FB Live Event for the COVID-19 Response Efforts on their Facebook page this Friday, March 27 at 7PM.
Moreover, the band teamed up with different organizations and set up a website (puhon.ph) to help frontliners and others affected by the coronavirus disease). Puhon—which is a Cebuano word that means "hopefully"—"is an initiative that brings people together to combat COVID-19 in the Philippines by providing a timely and coordinated response to affected communities, and by building a network of courage and inspiration through stories and music."
"In times wrought with worry and uncertainty, we make it through each day because of a hope – however tiny – that the sun will shine brighter tomorrow. In the time of COVID-19, we can only hope that something good will come at the end. This hope burns stronger every time we feel that we are not alone, and when we hear and share inspiring stories that fuel our passion to support those in need," it read in the website.
This is not the first time that Ben&Ben have joined efforts against the spread of COVID-19. In early March, the band joined fellow Asian artists in a new version of "Forever Beautiful" originally sang by Taiwanese musician Eric Chou. Proceeds from the song will be donated to the Han Hong Love Charity Foundation that's helping combat the coronavirus.
