MAINE MENDOZA Sings About Moving On In Debut Single "Parang Kailan Lang"
The long wait is over! Maine Mendoza finally released her debut single under Universal Records!
"Parang Kailan Lang" is a collaborative effort between Maine and OPM band Gracenote that talks about finally letting yourself experience new beginnings after an ugly breakup. Maine embraces a new contemporary sound that suits her voice quite well.
Explaining the song's message, she said: "Para siyang breakup song without closure. Parang, this is about a girl who recalls her past with her special someone na unfortunately hindi nag-work out pero parang, I think sa song she's finally moved on."
During her MYXclusive interview with VJ Ai, Maine added that she's offering something new to her fans with her music. "Parang feeling ko, yung pinaka hindi ko pa naipapakita is yung side ng singing. Parang ito, parang something new to offer na rin sa mga fans na sumusuporta and siyempre nag-aantay din ng something new from me."
Maine also revealed that she's actually written quite a few songs which she plans to record. "Before, meron naman akong mga compositions na rin. Meron na rin kaming nagawa, meron na rin kaming na-record na, as in written by me pero saka na lang."
In case you haven't heard, Maine will make her MYX comeback next month as she's our MYX Celebrity VJ for April! In the meantime, get more from VJ Anton's interview with the "Parang Kailan Lang" singer here:
