The 47-year-old British actor shared that he decided to get tested because he realized he was exposed to someone who was already infected by the virus.
Urging his fans to practice social distancing and proper hygiene, People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2018 continued: "Transparency is probably the best thing right now. If you’re feeling ill, if you feel like you should be tested, do something about it. It’s really important."
In the end, he assured fans that's everything's a-okay with him and there's nothing to worry about. Elba also said that "we live in a divided world right now, now's the time for solidarity."
Just a few days ago, Hollywood actor Tom Hanks also revealed he tested positive for COVID-19 along with his wife Rita Wilson.
