ABS-CBN Books has launched its first ever intensive writing workshop Project Foreword.

According to Mark Yambot, Managing Director of the Kapamilya network's publishing subsidiary, the program aims to get more people to read, encourage authors to write, and introduce a new generation of Filipino talents.

Project Foreword will feature mentorship from four of the best in the field including Charo Santos-Concio, Ricky Lee, Makiwander and Ardy Roberto. "Unang-una magkakaroon ng call-out for people who would want to write," award-winning screenwriter Lee said. "Most specifically novels, iba-ibang genres. It's possible na sa mag magsu-submit merong magaganda na buong-buo na, almost publishable.

"In which case, we'll just help ng konti reshaping here, reshaping there. Kung anuman ang mashe-share namin pero hindi namin papakialaman yung boses nila." Hear what else interested applicants can expect from the workshop in the interview below:

Calls for submission of works will be announced on ABS-CBN Books Facebook page.
