While it may seem trivial to some to throw a party for a pet, the animal-obsessed in us says, "We don't pug-king care!" Just knowing that they love us unconditionally is enough for any pet parent to give them cake, a cute party hat, and special treats on their birthday!

And so if you are planning to throw your furry friend a birthday party, you have to make it the best one they could ever have. From pupcakes to pawty decorations, here's a break down of the things you have to keep in mind so your pet will have the best party ever!

1. You have to have a cake.

One of the things that make our birthdays not feel like an ordinary day is by having a birthday cake, so you also have to have a cake at your pet's party! Since pet birthday parties are becoming a thing now, you can find a lot of bakeries that have pet-friendly cakes like Whole Pet Kitchen and Barkin' Bakes. You can also bake your pet's cake because the internet is overflowing with tutorials for it, so you won't have a hard time finding a cake that suits your dog's taste buds.

2. Don't invite too many guests.

Of course, there's no such thing as a birthday party without guests. That's why to make your pet's party extra special, invite all of your pet's favorite people and furry friends! But keep in mind that you should not invite too many guests since crowded places usually scare them, and your number one priority is your pet's comfort, right?

3. Hold it in a pet-friendly venue.

Most pet parents hold their birthday parties at their house, especially if they already have a pet-friendly home where their pet's guests can play around. But if you know that your house can't hold all of your guests, it's best to consider a pet-friendly venue like a cafe or park.

4. Check out party packages for pets.

If you want to go all-out for your pet's birthday party, there's a lot of shops where you can do your party supply shopping. Plus, there are physical stores that you can check out for party packages like Pet Lovers Centre, which does not only provide the best 3D topper cakes from, but also loot bags and party balloons!

5. Don't focus on a picture-perfect setting.

While it's easy to focus on making sure the party looks picture-perfect, don't forget that the reason you wanted to do this is that you want to make your pet feel loved! Your pet can't talk, so they can't tell what they like or don't like. But they can make you feel what they are feeling, so making your pet comfortable and giving them a fun environment should be your overall priority!
