AVRIL LAVIGNE Cancels Manila Concert Due To Coronavirus Outbreak
Avril Lavigne just announced that she's cancelling all her upcoming shows in Asia, including her major concert in Manila due to the continuous outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (nCoV).
"I am so sad to announce that we are unable to tour the Asian markets due to the continuous outbreak of the coronavirus. My band, crew and I have been working so hard to bring this tour worldwide and are completely bummed out. Please everybody take care of yourselves and stay healthy. You’re in my thoughts and prayers and we are hoping to announce rescheduled shows soon," the 35-year-old Canadian singer-songwriter wrote in a heartbreaking post on Facebook.
The much-anticipated Asian leg of her Head Above Water Tour was supposed to begin in April. This is definitely not the happy ending that Filipino fans wanted since tickets to her May 20 Manila show sold out after just one day.
