Singapore-raised Filipino artist Ysa Yaneza recounted her fangirling moment with Broadway star Lea Salonga during a recent visit to the MYX studio.

The burgeoning musician—who broke out of the music scene with her stunning debut single "Tea"—described the encounter as "a dream come true," before sharing, "I think when I met her, I actually told her, 'Lea, I wanna be like you but in electronic music.'"

In an Instagram post, Ysa said she had been waiting to meet the veteran singer all her life, particularly "since [she] sang 'Reflection' from Mulan at 5 years old for an audition and when [she] first stumbled upon Lea Salonga videos on YouTube in 2006."

Ysa also talked about her latest release titled "Softly," which she said is "a lot more 'I like you and I'm not afraid to tell you.'" She also confirmed that a music video for the track was filmed a couple months ago, and will be out in "a month's time." Until then, listen to the feel-good track below.
