Our favorite pop phenom Taylor Swift is adding another accolade under her belt.
The Lover artist was named "Best Solo Act in the World" at the 2020 NME Awards and she surprised everyone by showing up at the ceremony unannounced.
i hope to live my life with the same energy as taylor swift refusing to go to the grammys but showing up to the nme awards in brixton completely out of the blue and wearing a half-suit pic.twitter.com/5EMnY3g0Ik— ellie 🤍 ⁷ (@eleanorbate) February 12, 2020
During her acceptance speech, Kween Tay extended her gratitude not only to her fans but to the people who work so passionately in the music industry: "I want to say thank you so much to anyone who writes about music, who blogs about music, who tweets about music, who cares about music… But most of all, I want to say thank you to the fans because they are the only reason that I get to do this."
This marks the singer-songwriter's second NME win after taking home "Best International Solo Artist" in 2016. Last year, she was named "Woman of the Decade" and ""Artist of the Decade" by the American Music Awards and Billboard respectively.
