Lara Jean and Peter Kavinsky A.K.A. the cutest fictional couple on Netflix continues to give us that feel-good romance in To All The Boys I've Loved Before's sequel entitled P.S. I Still Love You. In the second film, we saw how their relationship worked through different conflicts that any young love faces.

And if you're curious as to how actors Lana Condor and Noah Centineo navigated through their own teenage relationships, they exclusively shared their wisdom to us through a video interview brought to us by Netflix Philippines! Lana says, "I think at any age, particularly in relationships, you will potentially face conflict. I think that like in a high school relationship, sometimes, you face more problems there than when you are older." Her co-star Noah adds, "I think the thing is that when you start to mature is when you deal with these conflicts and choose to help each other work through them."

Lana further explains how P.S. I Still Love You exhibited what a high school relationship is really like. "Having conflicts in a relationship is healthy. Something so important to us is that we wanted to show that our characters have beautiful hearts, but they also fight and have misunderstandings. It would be unrealistic for us to pretend that they wouldn't. So I was really happy with the relationship problems and lessons that we brought in the sequel, and we plan to stick with it."

Age or the longevity of your relationship doesn't actually matter because all relationships can be complicated and messy at some point in their duration. While you can't control your partner, at least, the decision on what you say or do lies to you. If you're looking for a relationship manual to follow, look no further because here we broke down the relationship lessons we learned from PS. I Still Love You!

1. Be honest with your partner, even if it will hurt them.

Letting yourself be a part of a romantic relationship also means allowing yourself to share everything with this person. However, this is something that Peter and Lara Jean struggled with throughout the film. As much as the film displayed the affection that this couple has for each other, they also showed us that they kept secrets from one another. They thought that doing this will keep their promise to never break each other's hearts, but they ended up hurting each other more.

2. Be attentive to the little things.

While our hearts flutter when our partner takes us out on a surprise dinner date and gives us a bouquet of flowers on special occasions, it's also nice to see that they notice the little things like our go-to snack or how much we hate being late. Besides being thoughtful, you should also make an effort to make your partner feel that you care about this as much as they do. Remember when Peter picked Lara Jean up from the nursing home because he remembered that she hates driving in the snow? It's the little things that count!

3. Accept that they're not perfect.

A healthy relationship is built on understanding that your partner is bound to make mistakes that can even potentially hurt you. They're not perfect, and so are you. This may seem like an obvious statement, but, sadly, it's something many of us forget to do just like Peter and Lara Jean. They always make sure to put in the effort to express their love, but not accepting each other's imperfections is one of the things that made their relationship suffer. After realizing that they only want to be with each other despite the mistakes, they gave us the sweetest make-up scene in rom-com history!

4. Let your partner live their own life.

No matter how in love you are and how much you enjoy each other's company, it's a must for most relationships to take a break from each other to make your bond stronger. When Peter told Lara Jean that he wanted to volunteer at Oakwood market with his friends, she didn't stop him from doing so because there's no reason to hold him back from spending time with his friends. After these two had let each other live their own life, they always meet like they're falling in love all over again, and it's just the cutest!

In P.S. I Still Love You, Lara Jean discovers that "happily ever after" is a superficial thought that doesn't exist, but a happy relationship does. To achieve this, you must be ready to face relationship problems and believe that you'll be able to surpass them together. If you keep these relationship lessons in mind, we assure you that you'll end up happily in the arms of your own Peter Kavinsky, too!
