HAYLEY WILLIAMS Influenced By BEYONCE & SOLANGE In Upcoming Solo Album 'Petals For Armor'
Now that her solo album Petals For Armor is reportedly finished, Hayley Williams kept her promise to share the artists and songs that inspired her in making the record. And just like what her fans have been saying online, the likes of Radiohead and Solange are included in the list!
later on will share the playlist i made for reference while i demo-ing and writing Petals For Armor - lots of Thom & Solange ❤️ it’s a nice little vibe and i’m so honored anyone would pick up on the different styles that heavily influence me/the album.— hayley from Paramore 🌺 (@yelyahwilliams) February 12, 2020
Yesterday, Hayley tweeted that album producer (and Paramore guitarist) Taylor York and sound engineer Carlos de la Garz already delivered the masters which basically means Petals For Armor is done.
congrats to these two - my fav producer and my fav mixer/engineer. today @itstayloryall & *whispers* Carlos de la Garza delivered the Petals For Armor masters. which, for everyone not in ~the biz~, just means the album is DONE. i hope these two never stop making albums for ppl. pic.twitter.com/a43OsQob2S— hayley from Paramore 🌺 (@yelyahwilliams) February 12, 2020
She later tweeted a playlist containing the tracks that inspired her in creating the album which will be out this May. There are only 13 songs as of this writing but Hayley promised that she'll update it.
as promised, some artists and songs that really helped shape the way i sing/write/express/exist - a short playlist i sent to the few people who created Petals For Armor with me. (i’ll add to it as we go...)— hayley from Paramore 🌺 (@yelyahwilliams) February 13, 2020
