10 Songs to Add to Your Playlist According to BTS' Jungkook
Karen Jane Ng
You better believe BTS members have the broadest taste when it comes to music. We've once put V's recommendations all together and it certainly lived up to our judgement. And that just give us confidence to do the same and curate a playlist according to the group's main vocalist, Jeon Jungkook.
Not only is he known for his versatiliy, hence being dubbed as the 'golden maknae,' but also for his next level choices in sounds to listen to. He may be a K-pop idol and an outstanding upholder of South Korean culture, but that is not to say he has to limit himself in expanding to all genres and languages out there - from pop, R&B, ballad, indie and even those you never thought of lending your ears to won't fall behind his picks. Trust JK in finding gems deep within the whole of music industry's discography, he won't disappoint. Proof here:
1. "When We Were Young" by Lost Kings ft. Norma Jean Martine
This song is everything from soulful to nostalgic. And for the minutes that it plays, we just missed our childhood and felt terrified of the present. Does JK feel the same while listening to it, too?

2. "Best Part" by Daniel Caesar ft. H.E.R.
No doubt, this collab ends up as an all-time fave classic since it was released in 2017. It's a blessing disguised in an affectionate, sensual song. If our life is a movie, we hope it goes as smooth as this one.
3. "Rainbow" by Kacey Musgraves
Whoever listens to this country ballad and didn't feel anything, we must talk. It definitely hit hard in the core with its uplifting message of hope, just what you needed, whatever you're going through.

4. "Belong To You" by Sabrina Claudio
We couldn't dare skip this sultry single especially when it gives nod to the subject that BTS has been speaking into our lives: self-love. It might be the reason why JK fell for it, besides its obvious goodness.

5. "To Each His Own" by Talos
Jungkook's been mentioning this piece from indie pop Irish Talos and we finally get why. It powerfully talks to us, with vocals that relaxes us and lyrics that push us to reflect within ourselves. It's something that Jungkook himself always does to us.
6. "Do Me" by Kim Petras
His playlist is undeniably filled with revolutionary tracks including this one which brings light to trans rights. Not surprised, considering how much BTS has tackled topics people usually don't like to talk about.

7. "Through It All" by Charlie Puth
You could say that JK is being a bias for putting his fave on the list, but who cares? If there's another to look at it, it's that Charlie's song is very much meaningful not to be part of it.

8. "Honey" by Kehlani
Honestly, this acoustic R&B piece has the knack to catch your attention even just by its rhythm alone. Then it was accompanied by Kehlani's unique, raw vocals? JK found a gold, indeed.
9. "Clouds" by Before You Exit
The K-pop singer has his own choice of boy band, too, and this is where this sibling trio and their piano-driven sound come in. We wonder if JK has tears in his eyes while tuning into this, consideing it was written as a tribute song to BYE's late friend and songstress Christina Grimmie.

10. "Ending Scene" by IU
There's no use in keeping it a secret that Jungkook has been a huge fan of IU ever since, which for sure is not only because of her sweet face but also for her songwriting talent and emotive vocals. That's taste jumping out, for real.

Of course, our euphoria Jeon Jungkook listens to their own record, but he isn't selfish not to let ARMYs know that there are other great artists and music out there that we can explore. So, now that we have him as our go-to source, there's no point in making excuses. Let's begin, and give our playlist a JK fix!
