VANESSA BRYANT Remembers Late Daughter GIANNA As Her School Retires Her Jersey
Vanessa Bryant proudly took to Instagram to share the jersey retirement ceremony of her late 13-year-old daughter Gianna, who tragically died in a helicopter crash with her father, NBA Legend Kobe Bryant. Just like the Black Mamba, Gigi loved basketball and was even said to possibly continue her father's legacy.
"My Gianna. God I miss you. I’ve been so lucky to have woken up to see your gorgeous face and amazing smile for 13 years. Wish it would’ve been until my last breath. Mommy loves you to the moon and back. Infinity plus 1. #2 #Mambacita #GigiBryant," the grieving mother wrote, sharing photos from the ceremony retiring Gigi's famous jersey number 2.
In another post, Vanessa captioned: "My Gigi. I love you! I miss you. You’ve taught us all that no act of kindness is ever too small. Mommy is still and will ALWAYS be so proud of you mamacita. ❤️#2 🏀"
She also shared some emotional clips from the ceremony at the Harbor Day School gym to further honor her daughter.
Vanessa Bryant continues to soldier on with three daughters: Natalia, 17; Bianka, 3; and Capri, 7 months.
