ABBA To End 38-Year Hiatus With New Music
Dancing kings and queens, you're gonna love the sound of this! Disco music icon ABBA is set to end their 38-year hiatus, member Benny Anderson confirms.
"[New music is] coming this year. I’m guessing after the summer," Benny said in an interview with a Swedish news outfit. "One shouldn’t promise anything but if I were to decide myself, it would be September. I can’t make that decision alone but that’s what we’re aiming for."
The other members of the pop quartet – Agnetha Fältskog, Anni-Frid Lyngstad and Björn Ulvaeus – have yet to issue an official statement but we'll take Benny's word for it any day!
The group, of course is best known for their contributions to disco music with songs like "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!", "Mamma Mia" and the iconic "Dancing Queen". ABBA's last album was 1981's The Visitors.
