Aside from social media posts from musicians such as Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, and Taylor Swift among others, the tragic event also brought forth a song tribute from Puerto Rican trap singer Bad Bunny titled "6 rings." As per Rolling Stone, the song's title refers to Kobe's five NBA championship rings and his marriage to Vanessa Bryant.

The Spanish-language song opens with a commentary about Kobe's 81-point outburst against the Toronto Raptors in 2006. It then closes out with an audio clip from his final game where he can be heard saying "From the bottom of my heart, thank you. And what can I say? Mamba out." A fitting ending.
