Viva Artists Agency (VAA) denied an earlier statement from Nadine Lustre's lawyers claiming that the singer-actress is no longer under the talent management company.

"Contrary to the press statement, Nadine remains an exclusive artist of VIVA as she has a valid and subsisting management contract," the press statement sent to ABS-CBN News' Mario Dumaual reads.

"Under the law, Nadine cannot unilaterally withdraw from her contract with VIVA. Any dealings or professional engagements entered into by Nadine, without consent or approval of VIVA, constitutes breach of contract," VAA asserted.

The company also threatened to "initiate appropriate legal action against Nadine and/or third parties that directly deal with Nadine in contravention of VIVA’s management contract."

Earlier today, Kapunan & Castillo Law Offices announced that Nadine is now "self-managed and will continue to be so indefinitely."

Viva launched Nadine as one of the original Pop Girls in 2009. She became one of the entertainment company's prized talents following the success of her 2014 movie Diary ng Panget opposite James Reid.

Among her noteworthy projects as a Viva artist include the movies Never Not Love You and Ulan which won her several Best Actress honors.
