The 18-year-old pop sensation took home a total of five awards including the four major awards: Best New Artist, Song of the Year and Record of the Year for "bad guy", and Album of the Year for When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? Lizzo also won big at the event, taking home the Pop Solo Performance award for "Truth Hurts", Urban Contemporary Album award for Cuz I Love You and Traditional R&B Performance for "Jerome".
