The 62nd annual Grammy Awards was held today at Staples Center, Los Angeles - the home court where NBA legend Kobe Bryant played in for 20 years as a member of the L.A. Lakers. The basketball superstar earlier passed away in a tragic helicopter crash along with his daughter, Gianna.

In his memory, this year's host Alicia Keys together with Boyz II Men kicked off the awards show with a performance tribute of "It's So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday."

"We are literally standing here, heartbroken in the house that Kobe Bryant built," Alicia began. "We never imagined in a million years that we'd have to start the show like this. So we wanted to do something that could describe a tiny bit how we all feel right now."
