Following Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant's tragic death in a helicopter crash in Calabasas California, his friend and former teammate Shaquille O'Neal shared a very heartfelt tribute on social media to remember his amazing legacy.

“There’s no words to express the pain I’m going through now with this tragic and sad moment of loosing my friend, my brother, my partner in winning championships, my dude and my homie,” Shaq said in his sad Instagram post, alongside some of his most notable photos of him with the Black Mamba.

"I love you and you will be missed. My condolences goes out to the Bryant family and the families of the other passengers on board. IM SICK RIGHT NOW!", the retired basketball star added.

Shaq also posted his tribute on Twitter. They won three NBA Championships together.

Shaq's son Shareef tweeted a screenshot of his last conversation with his uncle Kobe.

Pau Gasol, who's also Kobe's former teammate when they won back to back NBA Championships back in 2009-2010 tweeted that he's beyond devastated upon hearing the tragic news about his death.

Another Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar paid tribute to Kobe in a short clip that he posted.

Kobe Bryant was one of five people, including his daughter Gianna, who died in a helicopter crash in Calabasas. He was 41.
