GAL GADOT Lauds 'Wonder Woman' Stunt Double
Stunt doubles are the unsung "heroes" of film. Not only do they make sure the actual actors are safe, but most of the time, they're also responsible for making an action sequence look astounding.
In her latest #WomanofWonder post on Instagram, Gal Gadot praised her stunt double Christiaan "Stanni" Bettridge who has worked with her since the first Wonder Woman film in 2017.
"She’s always there by my side making sure I’m safe and at the same time taking the punches and getting thrown against walls. She’s a mother, an athlete, and her movements are unlike anything I’ve seen before in a stunt performer. Thank you Stani for bringing your all, everyday and with such grace and kindness," Gal wrote.
#WomanofWonder today is dedicated to @stannibombani - She’s been with me since the first Wonder Woman and I know we have a long future together. She’s always there by my side making sure I’m safe and at the same time taking the punches and getting thrown against walls. 💪🏻 She’s a mother, an athlete, and her movements are unlike anything I’ve seen before in a stunt performer. Thank you Stani for bringing your all, everyday and with such grace and kindness. ❤🙅🏻♀❤🙅🏻♀❤
Stanni then shares Gal's post and expressed just how grateful she was for the actress, even describing her as "a true Wonder Woman on and off screen." Awww. We can't help but stan!
😭 this absolutely WONDERFUL WOMAN is honestly one of the kindest and most generous people I know, and I am truly blown away by these amazingly kind words! I can’t wait for the world to see how hard this woman worked, spending hours fighting and being cinched up in harnesses, without giving up, and always giving your absolute all. A true Wonder Woman on and off screen, an amazing mother and ridiculously hard worker. It’s been an amazing journey so far, and I am so incredibly grateful for it and to be able to get up every morning for a job I love, surrounded by people who inspire me everyday to keep learning and improving. Bring on the future and more kicking butt! Also, I am so overwhelmed by all of the support and love I have received, and also the support for the stunt community in general. It hasn’t gone unnoticed, so thank you to all of you who have taken the time to be so positive and loving ❤️❤️ @gal_gadot #womensupportingwomen #ww84
The two once again worked side by side in Wonder Woman 1984, hitting Philippine cinemas on June 4, 2020!
