Rapper YOUNG VITO Accused Of Being Transphobic Over His Song "AWIT"
Rapper Young Vito is in hot water following the release of his controversial song "AWIT".
"Awit" first caught the attention of fans last December when a video of the rap upstart performing the track viral. The chorus goes "May nakilala ako sa bar kagabi/ ang ganda niya pero parang may mali/ Nung dumikit mayroon akong napansin/ napakalupit awit may lawit." The original video has since been taken down and Vito even apologized for it.
After the backlash he received, he signed a record deal with Viva Records and his first release? The same track that put him under fire in the first place.
Some netizens expressed their disgust over the track being released, with a lot of people calling him transphobic. Check out the tweets below:
YoungVito is ur typical f*ccboi na kunyari gentleman but talks trash abt girls in their all-boys gc & who so vain kaya extra show off to validate his being a man. He's so wilfully dumb he thinks being transphobe is cool.— Bhebhe ghOurL (@aenehatesyou) January 17, 2020
