BTS' "Black Swan" Is A Meaningful Package That Transcends K-Pop

BTS is back doing their thing with the new single "Black Swan" off the forthcoming album Map of the Soul: 7. And what's their thing? Topping expectations, setting the bar high, and transcending the "K-Pop" label!
With this track, the boys pull off a seemingly new category - combining hip hop and orchestral music, featuring a smooth transition of rap verses and overlay of the vocal lines' distinct ranges.
Starting with a quote by the late American choreographer Martha Graham, "Black Swan" expresses the boys' fear of facing the day, their first death, when they can no longer make music.
For the visual, they ceded the spotlight to MN Dance Company whose routine captures Bangtan's theme of overcoming and finally accepting our "shadows". This collaboration also works in parallel with CONNECT, BTS' global project which aims to redefine the relationship between music and art.
Well, people, that's how you change the game. *chef's kiss while sobbing*
