BOYBANDPH's RUSSELL REYES Breaks Social Media Silence, Changes Username

BoybandPH's Russell Reyes has made his social media return to welcome a "new chapter" in his life. He quickly followed it up with a portrait shot captioned, "It’s been a while, huh?"

Quite notably, he has erased the group's uniform identifier "boyband" from his socials, changing his usernames from "@boyband_russell" to "@russellreyesmusic" on Instagram and "@rusreymusic" on Twitter.

As you may recall, the 21-year-old reportedly left the boy group temporarily to pursue a college degree in the United States. He has since wiped his Instagram account clean. His Twitter account, however, appears to be untouched—his last post being a message of support for co-member Niel Murillo from October 2019.

BoybandPH continues to perform shows for their loyal Super Fans and Bandmates as a four-piece group with its remaining members Niel, Joao ConstanciaFord Valencia, and Tristan Ramirez.

Russell has not revealed yet what this "new chapter" holds for him, but his fans are definitely hoping that it still involves music. Most recently, he appeared as a guest artist in Kyler and Moophs' "Like U Like This" track with Markus Paterson and Xela under Tarsier Records. Asked if he's now officially part of the label, Russell clarified that he is not and that he just did that one collab last year before flying back to his hometown, Chicago.
