Filipino Fans Go Full Emo As SILVERSTEIN Burns It Down On 20th Anniversary Show
Silverstein is celebrating two decades in the music scene this 2020. The Canadian post-hardcore band just kicked off their massive 20th anniversary tour here in Manila!
The popular Emo quintet finally returned to the Philippines after eight long years and according to vocalist Shane Told, they loved every minute of their stay here.
The explosive opening moments of the show brought the jam-packed Skydome crowd to their feet with old school hits "Smashed Into Pieces" and "Massachusetts" and one of their latest releases, "Burn It Down".
Shane said that they would definitely go Emo up on everyone's 'asses' and they succeeded, rocking out to fan favorites "Smile In Your Sleep", "Vices", "The Afterglow", and the nostalgic "Discovering The Waterfront" wherein Filipino fans raised their phones.
Another special moment from the show was when the band played their new song "Infinite" for the first time ever.
Silverstein was confident, explosive, and sonically impressive all throughout their set. And of course, their performance of one of their most popular hits "My Heroine" made our Emo hearts burst with joy. The crowd sang the loudest during this part.
They also played "Already Dead" and "Call It Karma" and indeed, we had our time, it was fun while it lasted! For the encore, they went old school with "Bleeds No More" from their acclaimed first album When Broken Is Easily Fixed.
Before the show ended, the band said that they would love to be back as soon as possible and hopefully it will not take another eight years! You taught our hearts a sense we never knew we had, Silverstein! Thanks for making our Emo hearts so happy!
