On January 8, 2013, Twenty One Pilots dropped their third album Vessel. Released under Fueled by Ramen, it served as their major label debut. Since then, their rise to fame became staggeringly exponential.

Lead singer Tyler Joseph tweeted a short yet epic message to celebrate the seventh anniversary of the 12-track album which gave us hits like "Holding On To You", "Guns For Hands", House Of Gold", and "Car Radio".

Referring to the album art of Vessel which features the paternal grandfathers of Tyler and drummer Josh Dun, the former wrote "released this album 7 years ago today. they have both died since then. but still live on. miss you." Josh's grandpa Earl Owen Dun (left) passed away shortly after the album dropped while Tyler's grandfather Robert "Bobby" Joseph died in March 2018.
