Bassist Krist Novoselic, drummer Dave Grohl, and the band's touring guitarist Pat Smear (yes, also from the Foo Fighters) will rock the Heaven Is Rock & Roll gala, a benefit show curated by We Are Here Music in support of the charity group the Art of Elysium. They'll be joined by Beck, St. Vincent, and Dave's daughter Violet for the special performance.

It isn't the first time the surviving trio would share the stage together. Novoselic, Grohl, and Smear have appeared together on stage, most recently at the Cal Jam Festival in 2018. Nirvana's mini-reunion happens on Saturday, January 4, at the Hollywood Palladium.
In other Nirvana news, the grunge icons recently added another accolade under their belt as their "Smells Like Teen Spirit" music video surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube.
