MYXclusive: PEDICAB's New Album Is Out Of This World!
Pedicab has gone intergalactic in Remuda Triangle which they just launched on vinyl. The new album was obviously inspired by an obsession with extraterrestrial beings, sci-fi themes, and dazzling futuristic concepts.
During the album's listening party, the band said they completely went for a maximalist approach when it comes to the overall sound which is evident in the melodic indie rock anthem "What's The Algorithm".
Vocalist and songwriter Diego Mapa admitted that the album's concept was heavily inspired by the show Ancient Aliens. And with the help of independent artist Leeroy New's rad design of special alien helmets, the band succeeded in bringing out their intergalactic aesthetic during gigs.
Remuda Triangle is not just Pedicab's first independent album, it's also their first to be released on vinyl. Being avid vinyl collectors themselves, having their own record pressed on the said platform is another check off their bucket list. If you're wondering where they came up with the title, it was named after the place where they jam... Remuda St.
Leeroy New's art installations were on display during the launch which also featured Tom's Story, Flying Ipis, and Taken by Cars.
Mike Dizon a.k.a. Masterbeat also celebrated the first moments of his birthday during the launch.
