New "Mean It" Video Was Made To Tell LANY's PAUL KLEIN & LAUV's Voices Apart
By now, you've probably listened to Lauv and LANY's collaborative single "Mean It" a hundred times. On December 17, the heartbreak pop royalties finally released the accompanying visual to the lovesick bop, and fans understandably had a full-on meltdown.
Lauv first hinted on a collab with the indie pop band when he uploaded a photo of him and frontman Paul Klein with a somehow vague "It happened" caption in all caps. Two months later, they have officially released the track, and fans can barely handle its perfection. See tweets from fans—all positive, of course—here.
And just like before, the enthusiasm for "Mean It" was justified. With a video to match the track, people can finally tell who is singing on which parts of the track. "This video was made for those who couldn't tell their voices apart," one fan wrote.
Another pointed out that 2019 was so close to being a "sh*t year" if it weren't for the collab.
Another said that "Mean It" was a dream come true to those fans who envisioned this collab since both pop artists' debut.
And if there's anything else I could ask for Christmas, it would be a promise of a second Lauv x LANY collab this 2020. Are you with me on this, people?!
