Did SARAH GERONIMO Predict "Tala" Would Be A Dance Craze?
"Alam niyo po, in-envision ko na magiging dance craze ‘tong kantang ‘to," Sarah Geronimo admitted of her vision for her 2016 single "Tala" in a recent interview. "Gusto ko itong vibe ng song na ‘to, maging dance craze, everybody is dancing to this song—at, wow, power of claiming it, nagkatotoo!"
Released as the lead single to the pop star royalty's twelfth studio album, "Tala" went on to become one of the most played OPM tracks of 2016, and eventually took home the Song of the Year and Favorite Music Video nods at the 2017 MYX Music Awards.
Fast forward to 2019, the track became the new anthem for the Filipino LGBT resistance, which was further demonstrated in the viral video of a certain "Aling Nelia" calling on the cops for the removal of a makeshift volleyball court in front of her house.

The track was also played during the Finals match between the Philippines and Indonesia for the men's volleyball crown at the 2019 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, and as expected, it hyped up the crowd at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

"Maraming salamat sa LGBT community kasi sila talaga ‘yung yumakap dito sa awiting ito na ‘Tala,'" Sarah acknowledged.
The Tala saga continues with the most recent viral video of Facebook user Marc Angelo Vertucio apparently passing on the famous dance steps to the future generation through a baby. The funny caption reads, "Habang bata ka pa, gagawin na kitang Popster!" As of writing, the video now has almost 2 million views, just 2 days after it was posted. Check it out below!
