'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' Picks Up Where The 1989 Sequel Left Off

The new Ghostbusters film is coming and it promises to be a grand reunion.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife seemingly ignores the 2016 reboot and picks up where 1989's Ghostbusters II left off. And why not? Its director is none other than Jason Reitman, son of the franchise's OG director Ivan Reitman.

The latest installment is set in Oklahoma and follows siblings Trevor (Finn Wolfhard) and Phoebe (McKenna Grace) and their single mother Callie (Carrie Coon) as they try to uncover the mysteries surrounding America's heartland. The original cast including Bill Murray, Dan Akroyd and Sigourney Weaver are also set to make an appearance. Oh, did we mention Paul Rudd is in the film? Now that's one more reason to be excited about Ghostbusters: Afterlife! Check out the trailer here:
