Miss Universe Journey Of GAZINI GANADOS Comes To An End
The Miss Universe journey of Miss Philippines Gazini Ganados came to an abrupt end as she failed to enter the Top 10 of the competition.
Gazini, who was gunning for a back-to-back crown for the Philippines following Catriona Gray's 2018 victory - moved forward to the Top 20 via the competition's wild card rule. During the "opening statement" round of the pageant, the 23-year-old Pinay beauty queen passionately spoke about her advocacy for elderly care.
#MissUniverse2019 Philippines' Gazini Ganados: The world is aging and my grandparents raised me and I've worked in an organization that was supporting for elderly care. I realized that there is stigma between agism, poverty, exclusivity and invincibility. pic.twitter.com/1TIyfHLp80— ABS-CBN News (@ABSCBNNews) December 9, 2019
Candidates from USA, Colombia, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Peru, Iceland, France, Indonesia, Thailand, and Mexico made it to the Top 10.
We're still proud of you, Gazini! Thank you for putting up a good fight!
