'Wonder Woman 1984' Trailer Features Updated Spin On NEW ORDER's "Blue Monday"
It's the turn of Diana Prince to break the internet! Gal Gadot makes her triumphant return via the first official trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 and it's vibrant and badass AF!
The film is set during the decade defined by big hair, new wave music, neon colors and the Cold War - only this time, Diana is without an ally. But surprise, surprise! Chris Pine's heroic character Steve Trevor seemingly comes back from the dead to reunite with the Amazonian princess. Wait, what?!
The 2-minute teaser also provides us with a better look at the sequel's two main villains – the power-hungry Maxwell Lord and one of Wonder Woman's fiercest foes Cheetah.
Gal and director Patty Jenkins unveiled the trailer at #CCXP19 in Brazil. Speaking about the film during the geek convention, the actress said Wonder Woman is "quite lonely, she’s lost all of her friends over the years, and she’s doing what she needs to do." You better watch out for the trailer's final sequence as Diana debuts her Golden Eagle armor! Check it out here:
The teaser also features an updated spin on the intro riffs of synth-pop anthem "Blue Monday", originally by New Order. Now, tell us, how does it feel?
