A MICHAEL JACKSON Biopic Is Reportedly In The Works
The colorful yet extra controversial life of the one and only King of Pop Michael Jackson could soon be immortalized on the big screen.
With the massive popularity of musical biopics in Hollywood, all thanks to the 2018 smash hit Bohemian Rhapsody, it's not a surprise anymore that film producers would capitalize on the idea of telling MJ's life story in movie form.
Now, Deadline suggests that the Queen biopic's producer Graham King has secured the rights to do a Michael Jackson biopic. The late singer's estate has also reportedly given the project the green light.
"I felt so much pain and suffering for the plight of planet Earth, and for me, that is a song to Earth because I think that nature is trying so hard to make up for the mismanagement of humanity the ecological imbalance continues - there are so many environmental problems I believe the earth feels the pain and it has wounds. " – Michael Jackson on his inspiration for “Earth Song.”
The film is said to be in the early stages of development with acclaimed writer John Logan set to craft the screenplay. The musical biopic will reportedly go all out in documenting MJ's life and storied career – from his days as a member of The Jackson 5 to his breakout solo success and tragic death in 2009.
