Rico Blanco was one of the thousands of Filipino fans who witnessed U2's The Joshua Tree Tour at the Philippine Arena last night! The MYX Headliner for December couldn't help but to savor the moment seeing his music heroes perform in the flesh for the second time, and this time around, in his home country!

Korics penned what he called his "love letter" to the legendary Irish rock band. Looks like PCD or Post-Concert Depression hit him real hard! The OPM icon even revealed that he almost lost his voice rocking out to U2's hits.

"After 14 long years i saw my heroes again. and in countless instances last night - in between moments of nostalgia, savoring the unbelievable sight of that Filipino audience finally living its decades long dream, and just pure rocking out losing my voice singing along to every single number except breaking wave and love is bigger (appreciation time for bono’s superhuman vocal condition after all these years) - i was reminded of just how massively theyve shaped my musical taste, influenced the music i created all these years, inspired my social activism and principles," he wrote on his Instagram post.

"Thank you @u2 - i was a little Boy when i first met you, and through the years you have helped shaped me into the man i am," Rico added. Read his entire "love letter" to U2 below!

Pls forgive this, yet another U2 post in your feed - a love letter at that. Its almost 3pm, my tito-ness just woke up from that beautiful dream (and traffic nightmare hehe) and just wants to immortalize that incredible experience before reality abducts me again. . i took very few photos/videos last night but this image was a nice reminder. in Yugto - a song i wrote more than a decade ago about one person going against the tide and all odds in the name of truth - i wrote “ang pagibig na hawak mo’y hindi malulubog.” . after 14 long years i saw my heroes again. and in countless instances last night - in between moments of nostalgia, savoring the unbelievable sight of that Filipino audience finally living its decades long dream, and just pure rocking out losing my voice singing along to every single number except breaking wave and love is bigger (appreciation time for bono’s superhuman vocal condition after all these years) - i was reminded of just how massively theyve shaped my musical taste, influenced the music i created all these years, inspired my social activism and principles. . thank you @u2 - i was a little Boy when i first met you, and through the years you have helped shaped me into the man i am ❤️ . . #u2joshuatreetour2019 #u2manila #smartu2tourph

Weeks prior to the concert, Rico Blanco and fellow OPM acts Barbie Almalbis, Raimund Marasigan, Francis Reyes, Buddy Zabala, and Japs Sergio had an intimate U2 tribute gig to celebrate the iconic band's amazing musical legacy.
