Hip-Hop Duo GOOD KID$ Unveils Eargasmic 'LOVELUSTLOSS' EP
Coming off the saucy trajectory they’ve set with their hit single “Show Me”, talented young hip-hop duo and former MYX Spotlight artist Good Kid$ celebrate their first year with the release of their first-ever EP LOVELUSTLOSS!
In this six-track EP, rapper Gaby Singson and producer Bernie Margulies have put together a collection of eargasmic tunes about the youth experience which they categorized into "love", "lust" and "loss".
“For the songwriting process, it was really just taken out of a lot of our experiences and the emotions we experienced as teenagers,” Gaby shared during our MYXclusive interview.
"We chose this concept LoveLustLoss 'cause it was really about the emotions that we go through and experiences that mold us into who we are and help us grow as people as well. Like we can experience love, we can experience lust, we can experience loss,” the young MC added.
According to Bernie, they just really want to put out music that represents what their generation feels. “We’re trying to make music that really represents us and represents our generation and we thought that these themes are something we can all relate to,” he stated.
The duo's friends and followers came out to support the launch of their debut EP which is under the label Mustard Music.
“Working with Mustard has been really great because they do a lot of things for us. They put us on the radar with events like these, with lots of gigs, with lots of parties and everything. And they really let us be creative as artists. They give us the creative freedom to do what we want to do, the music we want to do. They support us no matter what,” said Gaby.
“Definitely, Mustard has really helped us. We just have to focus on making the music and they can take care of the rest of the business aspect. So it really helps us get our music to be out there,” Bernie agreed.
