During a special Skype event last October 29, the singer did a little Q&A sesh with the local press and some of his fans. Brian revealed that his upcoming shows in Manila (New Frontier Theater) and Cebu (Waterfront Hotel & Casino) will be his first solo show ever in the country. "For 20 years, I have been coming to the Philippines as Westlife and BoyzLife, I even guested in Boyzone [concert] and I’ve never actually done solo shows so this is very exciting. Finally, after 20 years I’ll be able to do a solo show in the Philippines," he said.
Of course, we all know his shared history with Westlife who recently came to Manila for their 20th anniversary tour. When asked about his favorite memory with the band, Brian said: "It's the first time we were in Southeast Asia. Fans went crazy at the airport. Honestly, we had success in the UK but fans were crazier specially in Jakarta, Indonesia. We witnessed how crazy the fans are."
He then went on to say that his days with Shane, Mark, Nicky and Kian were among the best days of his career: It was also when we celebrated Mark Feehily's 21st birthday and that is my favorite time in Westlife that's where we are the happiest. I had very fun memories with Westlife."
And while he's got nothing but nice words to say about his former bandmates, Brian has ruled out the idea of him reuniting with the group, saying it doesn't make sense for him to join them.
