During the media conference, Moira and Daniel said they're very thankful for this unexpected blessing and it was really an honor for them to sing "Mabagal" which captivated both young and old listeners.
"Honestly nag-flashback po lahat ng pinagdaanan ko in the last two years so napakasaya po, napakasarap sa feeling na maging part ng Himig Handog ulit, to be part of this production, of the song and to be able to work with Dan and Daniel. And I'm so grateful, maraming maraming salamat po." shared Moira who also interpreted the 2017 grand winner "Titibo-Tibo".
Not a Himig Handog first-timer as well, Daniel affirmed his duet partner's statement. "Exactly. Nag-flashback sa akin 'yung mga panahong "Nasa Iyo Na Ang Lahat" saka "Simpleng Tulad Mo" I think mga five years ago. Nakaka-miss. Ang tagal ko lay-low rin sa mga ganitong events. Nakaka-miss at nakakatuwa at the same time, iba 'yung journey ng kanta na 'to sa akin," he admitted.
Daniel is also happy about the fact that the song brings back the oldies vibe that he personally loves. "Ang saya 'di ba? Ang mabalik nung genre at ma-appreciate lalo ng millennials. This kind of music now, ang sarap, refreshing 'di ba?"
Meanwhile, "Mabagal" composer Dan said it wasn't originally meant to be a duet but it turned out to be even better. "Parang nananginip ako. Parang gumagalaw nga ako nang weirdo kasi ginigising ko 'yung sarili ko, e. Super saya," said the 25-year old songwriter.
