Kyline Alcantara has come out in the open and revealed her current struggle with acne and how it affects not only her physical appearance and line of work but her mental state as well.

The young actress-singer posted bare pictures of her face on social media for all the world to see. According to Kyline, it started out with one zit last March 2018 and it quickly spread all over her face. "Imagine people are always expecting you to be at your best, to look perfect, to look like the polished girl they always see in TV and magazines but you can't even look at yourself in the mirror," Kyline wrote.

Kyline also shared she would often get criticized for putting too much cosmetic products on her face to conceal her breakouts. "I was bashed and bullied for putting too much make-up (people telling me na ang kapal ng make-up mo pero puro ka pa din tigyawat)" Little did people know that her skin condition also had a psychological effect on her. "What they don't know is make-up na lang yung kakampi ko noon. Concealers and foundations are my best friends."
