TOM HOLLAND Had Major Say In Keeping Spider-Man In The MCU
It's been a rollercoaster of a month for the entire geek community after the Spidey fiasco made the headlines. But now that everything's once again good between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios, we can expect to see our favorite web-slinging hero in future Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
Tom Holland has kept mum and refrained from addressing the issue directly but he was reportedly the main reason the two production outfits were able to come to an agreement. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tom took some last minute action and reached out to Sony chairman Tom Rothman and Disney CEO Bob Iger in an effort to save the beloved character. Eventually, cooler heads prevailed.
Holland is scheduled to appear in the third installment of his Spider-Man: Homecoming film series. He's also rumored to star in another MCU film.
