This University's Choral Group Delivered A Gospel-Like Version of "Ikaw At Ako"
The joint star power of Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards in the record-breaking film Hello, Love, Goodbye brought the local film industry to new heights. But also contributing to the movie's magic was the theme song "Ikaw at Ako"—a song by Moira dela Torre and Jason Marvin—which sliced open every moviegoer's heart.
Since then, a lot of cover artists across the Internet has put out their version of the track. But none came close to the hair-raising rendition from the Rizal Technological University’s (RTU) official chorale group Himig Rizalia. Give their gospel-like version a much-deserved listen below.
As of writing, the clip, which was first posted on September 19, has already earned over 818 thousand views on Facebook. Moreover, Himig Rizalia is also set to hold a send-off concert on October 27 at the Tanghalang Pasigueño before the group flies to Macau, China for the 4th Cantata Macau International Choral Festival.
