The CW's upcoming "Arrowverse" special Crisis On Infinite Earths is shaping up to be one of the biggest and most ambitious crossovers in television history.

I’d like the original bow for our final season please.

News just came out that actor Tom Welling will reprise his role as Clark Kent aka Superman in the superhero extravaganza. This comes 8 years after he last played the Man of Steel on TV via the hit spinoff series Smallville.

Arrow star Stephen Amell revealed Welling's exciting involvement in the crossover via Twitter. "There’d be no crossover without Tom Welling. So Tom Welling is in the crossover."

Avid Smallville fans were thrilled about the announcement and couldn't wait to see Tom team up with other "Supermen" in the series – Tyler Hoechlin and Brandon Routh who will also return to his roots as Kingdom Come Superman.

Smallville had an impressive ten-year run but not once did Welling don the iconic Superman suit. They did tease it during the series finale but will 'Crisis' finally let us see the actor in all his Kryptonian glory?
