Hello, Love, Goodbye starring Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards just made history as the highest grossing Filipino film of all time with a total of P880,603,490 in worldwide earnings as of September 3, according to Star Cinema.
"As of Sept. 3, 6:15 PM, our worldwide gross is 880, 603, 490 million pesos. This is now the highest grossing Filipino film of all time," Inang Olivia Lamasan revealed. #HelloMuchLoveWorld pic.twitter.com/1gmFNCKYZp— Star Cinema (@StarCinema) September 3, 2019
The OFW drama has surpassed director Cathy Garcia Molina's own film The Hows of Us—also starring Kathryn alongside real-life boyfriend Daniel Padilla—which previously held the record with over P854 million in worldwide earnings. Still, the HLG team is hoping that their movie will reach the P1-billion mark as international screenings are still ongoing.
As ABS-CBN News pointed out, Kathryn and Direk Cathy "now effectively hold the distinction of being the only actress and director with two films earning more than P800 million each."
