"Message Lang Nila Kami": AGSUNTA Is Open To Team Up With DECEMBER AVENUE
Despite the controversies they faced earlier this year, pop-rock band Agsunta revealed that they have no bad blood with any artist in the local music scene - including December Avenue.
As fans may recall, Dec Ave frontman Zel Bautista called out artists "making money out of someone else's work" and netizens assumed that he was referring to Agsunta who's known for their YouTube covers.
"As of now po kasi ‘di pa kami nagkikita ever... Pero kami naman po kasi open naman kami. Kahit gusto nilang makipag-collab sa amin, message lang nila kami. Kami naman kasi, open na open lang naman kami,” Agsunta vocalist Jireh Singson told the press during the media conference for their upcoming major concert Feels Trip.
"We want to congratulate them sa lahat ng mga nagawa nilang mga milestones sa banda nila, saka sa pagpapalakas ng OPM, saka ‘yung mga kanta nila ang gaganda talaga. Yun nga, ang message namin sa kanila, is kung gusto lang nila ng mga collab or what, andito lang kami. Message lang nila kami,” Jireh reiterated when asked for their message for December Avenue.
He also said that the controversy only got worse because of the naysayers online. “Feeling ko po lumaki lang talaga s’ya dahil sa misunderstanding ng mga kung sinu-sinong mga tao. Kumbaga ‘yung word of mouth, ‘yung andaming kumalat tapos naghalu-halo na ‘yung mga stories.”
Agsunta is now gearing up for Feels Trip which is happening at the ABS-CBN Vertis Tent this September 21 with special guests Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, BoybandPH, Shanti Dope, and JM De Guzman. The band is also set to release a brand new single called "Kung 'Di Na Ako".
